Welcome to my little spot on the internet. Figured I better start with an introduction letter to my new online friends.

We are the Johnson family, originally from central Texas but have since been transplanted many places thanks to the US Army.

My husband and I grew up in a small central Texas town. We both were raised by self-employed families, following suit we were self employed for the first ten years of our marriage. At the age of 30, my husband joined the Army and underwent a complete career change.

We have eight children that span over a 19 year range. Each one is so uninque and gifted in their own area, what a blessing they are!

SJ – My oldest. She was born a deaf achondroplastic drwarf with very little myelin sheath covering her brain. She was most definetly my guinea pig and we both grew up together. She is the reason I started homeschooling.

CJ – My first boy. He has always kept me on my toes and is the reason I continued to homeschool. Obsessed with trains since 2, he now works on diesel trains. He also provided me with my first daughter-in-law and grandbaby.

TJ – My compliant one. God knew I needed some rest, so He sent me TJ. She has always been agreeable, quiet, and content. She would much rather be with the animals than people. She is my resident farrier.

LJ – My independent one. This one has always been ready to stand on her own two feet. She takes after me the most and wants to do all the things, but all at one time.

GJ – My quiet man. Following after TJ, he would rather be in the chicken coop than with his siblings. He loves to read and spend time with his animals. He is such a big help around the house and am thankful for his reserved self.

HJ – My test. This guy has an alphabet soup of “diagnosis” and never stops. He keeps me running over the limit, but always manages to make us smile. He is convinced he is alread a man and trys to take care of his mama.

BJ – My steady. This guy is never changing, always cuddly, and sweetly sensitive. He loves the ocean world and is misplaced in this desert.

MJ – My baby. He’s the baby and he knows it. He has been a puzzle master since he could sit and has now moved into legos and building kits.

My husband and I are so proud of these kiddos. We love homeschooling and the life that is offers us. We have a little farmstead with goats, chickens, rabbits, dogs and a cat. We dabble in all things homestead related. I would love to get to know m readers, so drop a comment below to say hello or email me an introduction!
