Speaking Possibilities ...

I started homeschooling over twenty years ago when there just wasn’t any good educational options for my oldest daughter. Her deafness needed very specific attention so that we could learn to communicate and she could absorb the world around her. While her physical challenges of being a dwarf affected life, it didn’t affect her education. My focus was on giving her the best eduation!

My second born was a very busy ADHD boy. He was compassionate and sweet, but impulsive and dangerous. He kept me on my toes and it didn’t take me very long to realize a school setting wasn’t going to do him any good.

The third born was a complacent little girl who was just happy to go along with the flow of life. She was very accident prone and would fall out of chairs and walk into walls. She never struggled to read, but comprehension was elusive.

The beginning of my homeschool story was one of multiple children with varying degrees of learning challenges. I went on to have five more children and I have enjoyed getting to know each one and how God made them all so unique. I am now in a place where I can offer support and encourgament to families going through this amazing journey.
